Random stuff about people assuming stupid crap

For most of the time I lived in Halifax/HRM, I never wanted to talk to people much. I preferred to talk to people online or a few local people I liked. I wasnt aware before though I think I'm starting to realize why. I've noticed that there seems to be a culture of what I would describe as two faced. When someone here has a problem with you, they dont tell it to your face, they rather say it behind your back. Also halogonians have a tendency of never asking questions, they make rampant assumptions. An example of this is some guy asked me a series of questions that were like assumptions in question form.

They never ask an appropriate question but instead asking you questions that make no sense and they never care about your answer to the question. They just ask you for no reason, since that wasnt a question it was just a assumption in question form.

The guy asked me if I was French, German or if I was a Jew. I told him no to all of those questions and I dont know why someone would assume any of those things. Since there's nothing French, German or Jewish about me. I have an Irish name and far as I know I'm mostly white, on my mother's side they are Swedish/Finnish and some Maliseet native. My parents were Roman Catholic, not that means anything since I never participated in the religion, fortunately, dad/mom never took me to church and never told me anything about it.

I consider myself atheist though I derive a lot of my values from Buddhism(Not all of it, but certain beliefs and meditation) Which people make fun of me for, because they cant fathom a white guy would believe in that stuff, or think it's wrong for him to. Oh well works for me, I dont think I can stomach the hypocrisy of Christianity.
